OUR MISSION

Omni Development Corporation is a non-profit community planning and housing development corporation charged with the renaissance of communities through the development of residential, commercial, and economic development real estate. Since its incorporation in 1986, funding for Omni has been through such diverse resources as, Ford Foundation, Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation, City of Providence, National Equity Fund, Chevron Oil, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development."

COMMITMENT TO CHOICE

Over the past two decades, Omni has brought renaissance to some of Rhode Island’s poorest neighborhoods, replacing vacant lots and abandoned properties with high-quality, safe, and affordable housing. During the same period, Omni has also made it possible for low-income families to reside affordably in some of Rhode Island’s most exclusive communities where they have access to better educational and job choices. Through the pursuit of these distinct strategies, Omni has attempted to provide housing choices to families and individuals who would not otherwise be able to afford them.
