About

OMNI DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is a not-for-profit community development corporation (CDC) charged with the revitalization of neighborhoods through the construction of residential and commercial real estate. Omni’s mission is to provide affordable housing for low-to-moderate income families.

Over the past 29 years, Omni has created over 1,400 units of affordable housing through 20 developments within Rhode Island and Massachusetts. It is now expanding its market area to include Connecticut.

As a Rhode Island-based developer of affordable housing, Omni has created a recipe for success. Drawing on its extensive experience, Omni is able to help local cities and towns, community action groups, and housing finance agencies to develop and rehabilitate critically needed affordable housing for economically disadvantaged families with low-to-moderate incomes, the elderly, the disabled, and chronically homeless veterans.

Omni has received numerous awards over the past quarter century for its demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action, and is highly regarded especially for its leadership in helping re-build distressed, minority-populated urban neighborhoods.

Property Development

In collaboration with multiple community stakeholders and investors, Omni plans, designs and builds quality housing for low-to-moderate income families. Projects involve new construction as well as the total restoration of existing structures.

Property Management

Property management services are currently provided under contract with WinnResidential Management Services, with regional headquarters located at 6 Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston, Massachusetts.

Resident Relations

Omni’s service area is the entire state of Rhode Island, with developments in 3 counties, specifically in the cities of Woonsocket, North Providence, Providence and Coventry.
